Always My Little Girl

Happy Friday everyone!!

We went to JoTo's Japanese restaurant for dinner last night for Lexy's birthday and had a good time. They cooked the meal right in front of us. Before we left we gave her her presents. This is the card I made for her. It reminded me of when she was a little girl and had her hair in piggy tales. She collected teddy bears so I thought this image was perfect.

The card base is Groovy Guava and the designer paper is Bali Breeze. I just love this color combo. I like using the patterned paper as a starting point before I color so I can pick out the colors I will use when coloring. For the background layer I used Soft Sky and layered with the Pumpkin Pie print. The floral print is layer on Certainly Celery. I stamped the girl, from Sparkle n Sprinkle, with Brilliance Black and colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and blended with gamsol. I layered her on Blue Bayou, then Soft Sky. I used the new Old Olive Twine Ribbon that is in the Occasions Mini Catalog, that will be available to everyone on March 1, the silver ribbon pull will also be in the mini. The prima flowers have rhinestones stickers in the center.

On the inside of the card I stamped a sentiment from Sparkle n Sprinkle that says "I may be grown up, but I will always be your little girl". I now that the saying is stated backwards for her, but I love that saying and just wrote in there that I she still knows that.

Happy Stamping,
