Chalked Tulip

Wow!! I had tried this technique before but didn't get this look. I used cotton balls and rubbed the chalk on, this time I followed Beate's tutorial on SCS and it came out great!! I love the way it turned out! Go check out the tutorial.

I used Night of Navy as my card base and for my main image. I stamped with the White Craft and using the sponge daubers, dabbed on the chalks while the ink is still wet. When you are done run a swiffer cloth over it to pick up the stray chalk. Just stunning!! The colors really pop. I layered the image on Old Olive. I got the color combo from a website here that has great combos.

I used the Linen background on Apricot Appeal, and sponged the edges. Using my Sale-a-bration set Lots of Thoughts I stamped using Night of Navy and wiped off the last sentiment with my finger because it wouldn't fit in the punch. I punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch and sponged the edges with Old Olive.

Last, I punched out 3 1/4" circles and glued them down and put Not Quite Navy brads in them.

Hope you get a chance to stamp today!
