Today promises to be another beautiful sunny day in Florida. I love to get out and walk on days like today. This time of the year when the birds are singing!! It puts a song in my heart and makes my day!! Hope everyone else gets the chance to listen to the birds sing!
I'm excited about tomorrow!! A couple friends and I are going to the Stampfest show in Clearwater tomorrow. I went last year for the first time and went crazy!! So many stamps!! Ideas!!! New techniques!! If you have a chance to go it's alot of fun. Let me know if you are going and I'll keep my eyes open for you!!
I made a couple of these cards for newcomers to our church. I used the SU wheel Neigborhood, and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol with a blending stump. I like the shadowing and blending effect it gives.
I used the Designer Paper, Apple Cider, from the Winter Mini. The main image is on white and cut to 2 5/8 x 3 1/2, the DP is cut to 3 3/4 x 1 1/2 and 1 x 3 1/2. Since it is double sided paper I used the same sheet just reversed the paper. I layered these on a Really Rust piece cut to 5 1/4 x 4 and layered on the card base of River Rock. The sentiment is from Warm Words and I embossed it using Vanilla Craft and clear embossing powder. I love having all the punches and all the layering possiblities I have. I used the large oval in Wild Wasabi, Designer in River Rock, then the 1 3/8 circle in Close to Cocoa. This is one of the Splitcoast layout sketch challenges that I really liked. I have used it on many cards because it is so versitale. If you haven't participated in any of there challenges take a look at them, the sketch challenge is every Wednesday, but they have different ones everyday and can be found on the home page of SCS.
