Birthday Water Lilies

I have not had time to stamp in 4 days!! I think I will go crazy if I don't have time today. But first I need to take my daughter to church because the youth is going to a soup kitchen to feed the homeless and I need to clean my house. My week has been so busy I haven't touched anything. Then this afternoon I plan on stamping some. I will post what I accomplish tomorrow. Yesterday, I had the class on the Acrylic Easter Baskets, I forgot to take my camera to take pictures of everyones, but they all turned out gorgeous!

I made this card last week using the waterlily stamp from Sparkle n Sprinkle. I stamped the image and verse (also from SnS) on Shimmery White cardstock with Black Stazon and watercolored it using watercolor crayons. I layered it on Basic Black.

For the background I got this cool foam from a local craft store that you can heat and press into items like lace and silk flowers, it creates a stamp of the item you pressed it into. Then after it cools you ink it up and use it as a stamp. So I used Brilliance Rocket Red Gold ink and stamped the background. The base of the card is Pixie Pink. I used the slot punch to slide the ribbon through.

This is a picture of a waterlily I took last year and a botanical garden. I thought it looked a lot like the card on they are more purple.

I hope everyone has had time to stamp. Please feel free to email me cards that you have stamped and I will post them on the website.

Have a great Saturday and Happy Stamping!

Jill
