Faux Cloisonne' Butterflies

Good Morning to you all!! It was a beautiful day yesterday, perfect temps, mid 70's and sunny. I went for a good walk and got some sun on my cheeks!

These are the projects we will be doing at my Technique Class next week. Another faux leather, faux dry embossing, and paper piecing. If you are interested in attending I have one seat left.

I made these cards to send to all the wonderful new recruits that made my Sale-a-Bration such a success, and now that they have had time to receive these cards I can share them.

I saw this card at Stampin' Pretty and loved it and had wanted to try this Faux Cloisonne' technique for a while. I didn't have any good magazines to use for the technique though so I ended up just printing some of my own pictures that I had and printed them on white cardstock.
After I printed my pictures I stamped using versamark right on top of the picture and embossed with gold ep. Then cut all those butterflies out. I love the different colors in the pictures and the softness of them. For the left card I used Blue Bayou cards tock for the base and Soft Sky DSP for the main panel layered with Purely Pomegranate. I used Lots of Thoughts for the sentiment and stamped it in Blue Bayou. For the center card I used Almost Amethyst, a Sage Shadow Wintergreen DS layered on Always Artichoke. For the right card I used Cameo Coral for the base and So Saffron DS layered on Ruby Red. I love the way they came out. We will definitely be doing this technique in one of classes real soon!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
