Cuttlebug: The Negative Effect

That was the technique challenge yesterday on Splitcoast. What a neat effect!! Rub ink on the top part of the embossing folder and emboss like normal. Try different colors and cardstocks. I used white cardstock with Groovy Guava ink. Then casing a layout from Follow My Bliss I made a curvy cut and stitched it on the card front with my sewing machine using a zigzag (I need to do more sewing, I really like the look!). I used SU set Spring Song and stamped the image with Stazon and watercolored using the inkpads. I used Groovy Guava, Purely Pomegrante, Old Olive for the flowers and Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegrante and a bit of Summer Sun on the hummingbird. I used one of the new silver ribbon holders from the Silver Hodge Podge (I love these!). Oh, one more thing I did around the main image is score a box using my fiskars paper cutter with the scoring blade. You can't see it well in the picture but it adds a little something extra to the card.

Have a Stampingly Great Day today!!
Jill
