Shimmery Shells

This is another card using the glitter lace background. I just love this card! The colors, the images, the glitter background, it's just so shimmery and pretty. I enjoy just setting my cards up on my desk and looking at them for a couple of days. Does anyone else do that with there work, or am I just vain and crazy??

Anyway, I used a piece of lace that had a wavy pattern in it. You can buy just pieces of lace from Sparkle n Sprinkle in many patterns. I used Mystical Mauve for the first layer of glitter, then pulled off the lace and I sprinkled Rasberry for some dots in the lace (it's hard to see them), then covered the whole thing with Sunny Daze.

The shells I used are from from Plate 167- The Sea, from Sparkle n Sprinkle and I stamped them with Versamark and embossed them with different EP: Plumwine for the large shell, Ebb Tide for the medium, and Pineapple for the little shell. I then colored them with Stampin' Up! metallic pencils and blended with gamsol.

The base of the card is Elegant Eggplant, then I layed it with, Stardreams Lagoon cardstock. I layed the glitter background on the Lagoon and used the ticket corner punch on 2 corners. I tied some ribbon and stuck the big shell on with dimensionals and just glued the other two on.

This card makes me want to go take a walk on the beach and pick up seashells!

Have a Happy Day!!
