For Father

Happy Friday!!
I did this technique in my class last week and wanted to us this set, but didn't have it. Well, it came in yesterday and I couldn't wait to try the technique with these stamps. I love the way the cards came out.

I used a foam sheet (you can buy it at Michaels or Walmart) cut a piece a little larger that your wood block. Heat with heat gun on one side for about 30 seconds, flip and heat back for another 30 seconds, then flip and heat the front again, then with an ready and inked (I used Brown Stazon) stamp press it into the hot foam sheet and hold until it cools. You can tear the foam sheet or cut it. I sponged the edges with the brown stazon. It really does look like tooled leather.

The card on the left is Kraft cardstock with Le Jardin DSP, and the one on the right is Sage Shadow with some retired DSP.

I get to scrap with my Scrappin' Sistahs tomorrow!! Can't wait!! I love them all, they are the best!

Have a great weekend! Spend sometime doing something you like.....stamping!!

Is that foam brown? What section in the art store would I find that? You did a beautiful job.

I want to try this!! You did a great job. I like this much better than putting tape on the card stock for faux leather.

I love what you are doing with the cuttlebug. Who would have thought that all this could be done with that little machine.
