House Mouse Birthday

I just got my new stamp of the month for House Mouse. I was playing with a different coloring method. The copic markers are so popular right now and alot of people have them, but I know alot of people can't afford them too! (like me)lol. So as I was surfing the blogs the other day, and found a new watercoloring technique from Jody. She is calling it Drunken Watercolors. So I thought I would try the same thing.

The image on the left was colored was colored with the re inkers and alcohol in my aqua painter. The one on the right was done with the exact same colors of the re inkers and water in my aqua painter. I didn't notice alot of difference in the two technique just in coloring, but I think I am going to play around with it some more. Until then, the cards came out nice and I like them. The sentiment is stamped inside.

Stamps: House Mouse, Amazing to Zany
Cardstock: So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Cutie Pie DSP
Ink: Black Stazon
Ink refills for coloring: Rose Red, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Rose Romance, Blush Blossom
Other Supplies: Blue Gingham Ribbon, Stickles for the confetti, 1" and 1 1/4" Circle Punch

Have a great day! I have some great Father's Day cards to share with you tomorrow!!

They are both adorable! The colours appear more vibrant in the true watercoloured card. I haven't tried it with the alcohol, but my colouring skills are pretty lame anyway...don't think another technique is gonna help me LOL!
