Happy Wednesday!! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I didn't have anything to post. I have been stamping, but it is for magazines and I can't post those, so with any luck you might see them published. That is one of my goals this year is to get published. I've also been working on some other stamping projects. This card was started to be one of those projects, but I didn't like what I had done to the rose on the bigger cardstock, so I cut it out and layered it on Certainly Celery then went from there to finish a Mother's Day card. Remember, in stamping there are no mistakes, only room for embellishments! I love that quote, but I don't remember where I first heard it. I was over at my mom's today and she has a rose garden and they are beautiful! So I thought of her when I was making this card.
I stamped the rose from Sparkle n Sprinkle on Vanilla cardstock with Versamark and embossed it with Patina Gold. I then colored it with Galaxy markers. I then cut it out after messing up the vanilla cardstock it was stamped on! lol I layered the rose on Certainly Celery and paper pierced the corners, then layered it on Basic Black. I layered it on red with dimensionals after I used 1/8 double sided tape and layed it down and sprinkled it with Midnight Gold glitter.
The card base is Certainly Celery. I finished it off with my sentiment from Paper Inspirations and two dew drops.
On the inside I stamped: "The warmest thoughts, the fondest smiles are inspired by a mother's love." from Great Impressions.
Well that's it for the card. I hope you like it and find time today to play today!
