Okay, so we got home about 9:30 last night and I got half of the stuff unpacked and it was 10:30 and I told Jim that I had time to go make one card!! I hadn't stamped in 4 days and I was itching to stamp. He said I was crazy, and that I must really be addicted!!?? I guess he's so right! It was nice to get away, even from stamps for a couple of days, but when I got home, that was the first thing that I wanted to do!! I had seen these challenges at Poetic Artistry and they were on my desk, so I thought I would do that. I thought I would try punching out the colors for the color combos and putting them on trading cards, so I have a better visual of the combos. I really like these colors together.
I had just got the Stitched Background stamp and wanted to use it. So I cut 3 pieces of cardstock 2 1/8 x 1 3/4 and stamped each with the background. I used Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Cameo Coral. I stamped the main flower from Stitched Exotics in Cameo Coral on Whisper White and cut it out without the outline stitches, then I stamped it in Pumpkin Pie on the same cardstock and cut it out with the stitches. For the center, I punched out the Boho Blossoms punch on So Saffron and stamped the little flower from the set on ww and used the 3/4 inch circle punch and a Build-a-Brad. The saying is from Warm Wishes and stamped with Old Olive on ww. I added a pierced row for an added touch.
It was a quick card, but I got a little "stamp fix" in!! It's good to be home.
