These are some pictures I took at CHA from the Tim Holtz and Ranger booths. George, from Sparkle n Sprinkle pointed them out to me. He knows I like the acrylics. He asked if I would like to do something like these? Of course!! lol So he said that he would give me some scraps of acrylics to use....he is so sweet! They have different thicknesses of acrylics so it gives it more dimension.
Well, yesterday at Scrappin' Sistahs, I brought the wood frame I had bought at Michaels and the wooden "dream". I started out by painting the frame with yellow acrylic paint. Then I took the bag of assorted acrylic pieces that George cut for me and placed them on the frame in some what of a pattern. Then I layed them on pieces of patterned paper from SU and using my craft knife, cut the paper the exact size. Using Crystal Effects I adhered the paper to the back of the acrylic pieces and let it dry. When it was completely dry, I put on some more Crystal Effects on the back of the paper and stuck them to the frame. Then I decorated them with rub-ons from SU, rhinestones and dew drops. The one acrylic has a photo behind it done with the same method. On a couple of the acrylics I stacked them. The word was already painted blue, so I used some flower stickers and outlines it with Sickles, and added some rhinestones. I had Jim drill me some holes and put some eye screws in it to hang it up with ribbons.
