Gift bag and card

Happy Friday...this week has gone by so fast. My husband finally got a new car last night. We have been looking for a while and he finally decided on a Honda Civic. It's dark blue metallic and oh, so pretty. They didn't have my green, so blue had to do! lol

Well, I saw the bag on a Diane's blog the other day and wanted to make one. It is so easy to make with the Crafters Compnaion box template. I have also seen these flowers made with the scallop punch and had to try my own also. What a nice gift set this will make! I used the new In Colors. I started with Pink Pirouette Textured cardstock for the background and stamped with Sanded in the same ink. I sponged the edges with Riding Hood Red. The flower is punched with the scallop punch on Baja Breeze and a cut slits in all the scallops, and sponged the edges a little. The center is a 1" circle punch out of the Tangerine Tango, I used the polka dots stamp from the Three for You punch box. I leaves are punched out with the large oval, folded in half and run through the crimper and sponged.
The stamp set is one of the new ones Heard from the Heart. I used the Old Olive Twine on a 1/2 cut strip of Riding Hood Red. The silver hodge podge ribbon holder is just over the ribbon.

The scallop on the bottom of the box is made with the new scallop punch. The flower is from the Pretties set and dyed with the Pink Pirouette ink pad. The flower stem is also punched from the scallop punch. The top is made from the Tab punch and jumbo brads.

Hope you find some time this weekend to stamp and play!

What a sweet project! Your leaves look awesome - I would have never thought of folding and then crimping! Thanks for the tip!!!

Have a nice weekend Jill!
