Stained Glass

This is a technique that was featured on Splitcoast a couple of weeks ago, and we just did it in my technique class. I really is easy to do, but it takes patience. Just mix Crystal Effects (SU) with re-inkers and paint on the reverse stamped side of acetate. If you want it to sparkle even more you can add some Sparkling Snow or Dazzling Diamonds to it before it dries. You need to let each color dry before moving on though, because the colors will bleed. This card was using one of the stain glass stamps from Sparkle n Sprinkle, Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence, and WW cardstock. The flowers have a Pretties pearl in the center.
Everyone at the class loved this one. It is a goldfish from Sparkle n Sprinkle and I used the new Tangerine Tango re-inker and Sparkling Snow glitter. For the water I used a dabbing effect with the paint brush with Tempting Turquoise. The trim is the Tangerine Tango cut with the Nestibilities scalloped circle die. The dry embossing was done with the 3/4" circle punch and sponged the edges of the circles with Tempting Turquoise and glued down.

This is my favorite however! I love this card and will make more for my Christmas cards. I just want to redo it with vanilla on the inside instead of the white. The card is Not Quite Navy stamped with Sanded Background. The border is Baroque Burgundy, I stamped the star on the inside with Summer Sun, and the verse in Baroque Burgundy. I was so glad to see that this stamp set made it into the big catalog....just sorry that the verses didn't. The ribbon is Burgunday organdy and gold.

Enjoy!
