I was playing around with my new stamps today, and I have seen so many pretty cards done with Upsy Daisy (it's 15% off until the end of the month). The card on the left is what I started out with. I inked the stamp up with Baja Breeze and using the Old Olive marker colored the stems, then with the Not Quite Navy marker I tipped the tops of the flowers and stamp. Pretty, but then I wanted to compare it to another method I've seen. The right card was done with the sponge daubers, I first used the Old Olive marker and colored the stems, then using the sponge dauber in the Baja Breeze I sponged the flowers, then the sponge dauber in the Pacific Point and daubered the tips of the flowers. It has a much softer look.
Then after I did my card layout, I thought it needed a little something more, so I changed from the plain cardstock to the textured, and WOW what a difference that little bit made! Then to balance it more I cut it off on the bottom to make it a 4 1/4" square. I mounted the flowers on dimensionals on both cards. The base is Baja Breeze with a strip of torn Kiwi Kiss.
The is the card on the right with the daubers, and textured cardstock. (I don't know why this is printing like this!!)
This is the card with the markers and plain cardstock.
