I love the way the glitter lace turns out! It is so amazing to see the lace pattern on your paper and know that the lace isn't there...it's just glitter! And every time you make one it's different, because there are so many combination's of glitters and laces.
I started this card not knowing what to do...I was over at Sherree's, and she has this magnolia stamp from Sparkle n Sprinkle and I don't so I thought I would do something with it. So I stamped it 3 times on a piece of white cardstock with Stazon. She had an aqua painter and her Almost Amethyst & Always Artichoke Craft ink out, so I thought I would watercolor with that. Well, it was time to leave so I brought it home. I thought I would layer the different parts of the flower, so I started cutting and layering. For the bottom petals of the flower it is 3 layers and I used some of my Tombo glue to glue it down in the center so it took on a more real look. Then I applied some glitter with the glue pen, and covered the whole thing with 2 coats of Crytal Effects. It sat on my desk for a day, because I didn't know what I wanted to do with it, then I remembered the pretty glitter lace I had been demoing at Stampfest a couple weeks ago, and thought I would do that for the background. So after that I just layered the flower on a piece of Stardreams that I cut out with my Nestibilities and run through the Cuttlebug folder, and layered on a piece of Pearlized cardstock. The lace is layered on Elegant Eggplant and the card base is Stardreams.
So watch the video below and have fun making some glitter lace backgrounds for yourself!
