Hi Stampers,

Don't think just because I haven't posted in several days that means I haven't been stamping! lol I've been busy working on other projects that I can't post yet for one reason or another. But believe me...I've been stamping!

I've been reading so many blogs that have items that they use for inspiration on their cards. Well, yesterday at church I was wearing one of my favorite blouses and really looked at it from a stamping perspective, and realized I could duplicate it! Then I came home and found another blouse I just purchased had a color combination that I liked (Night of Navy, Certainly Celery & Cameo Coral). So, I combined the two and came up with this card.

The base is Night of Navy, then Natural Ivory. For the bottom portion of the Celery I stamped the Mexican Sunflower with Versamark and embossed with Guilded Ivory Detail ep, then I used the Dove blender pen and the Old Olive ink re-fill and colored in the flowers. I just absolutely love the way this came out! It is so pretty! Then I had picked up this sentiment at a show a while back (I can't remember from where) and thought it would be approriate. I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Nautical ep on Cameo Coral. The butterfly is from Touch of Nature, a retired SU set, and embossed on vellum cardstock and cut out, I also colored the back of him with the Cameo Coral marker. He is attached with a glue dot. The ribbon is Kiwi Kiss Satin. I used the Scallop Punch for the bottom and my Crop-a-dile for the holes.

So next time you are looking at one of your favorite pieces of clothing, see if you can duplicate it on one of your cards. It's a great source of inspiration!!

Happy Stamping,
