Tool Time

As soon as I saw this set, Totally Tool, in the new SU catalog and new I was going to get it...a couple of years ago when they had a tool stamp set I didn't get it and I have regretted it ever since, so I was getting this one!! I can use it so many time, and I love the sayings with these. You can cut the saying off and mount them separate if you want then get twice as many stamps! And then I have been wanting to make this kind of a background stamp with my scraps and thought this would be a great set to use if with. So I had an extra wood block, and just cut the scraps into pieces and stuck them down.Boy, I should have cleaned it better, there is still baby wipe stuck to it!! lol

For this card I used the scrap background and inked it with River Rock and took the Ruby Red marker and just edged two sides and stamped it several times to cover the River Rock cardstock. I stamped the image and verse with Black Stazon and colored it with my Prismacolors and gamsol. Then I had the screw brads from back when and used the glossy black.

For this card I used the scrap background and inked it with River Rock again, but this time I kissed it to the Sanded Background stamp inked with Chocolate Chip. I stamped on white cardstock and sponged the edges with Choc Chip. Again I stamped with Stazon and colored with Prismacolors. I added the jumbo brads as my accent on this one.

I love how you made the background stamp out of scraps. I will have to make me one of those. Great idea. tfs
