Sympathy Polished Stone

We went to South Carolina this weekend for Jim's family reunion. On the way home we decided to stop at Savannah for lunch. We have never been there and wanted to see it, to see if we want to go back and spend more time. Well, we decided we do want to spend more time. I loved the cobblestone roads! They are gorgeous and so rustic.

On to stamping. Unfortunately I needed another Sympathy card. Our youth minister's wifes' mother passed away from lung cancer last week. I used the Polished Stone technique. I was playing around with the technique this week with different colors. On this one I used Kiwi Kiss, Orchid Opulence, and Gold. Take a cotton ball, soak it with rubbing alcohol and put reinkers on it and dab the two main colors on glossy cardstock, then the add the gold to the cotton ball and dab some more. The image is an old retired SU set from Sell-a-bration that I just love. I stamped on watercolor paper and colored it with the blender pen and reinkers. I used gold cardstock for the two panels behind the image. For the inside I used the edge embossing folder, and the stamps from Thoughts & Prayers, and the cross from Refuge and Strength. The cross is in Kiwi Kiss, then the words in Elegant Eggplant.
