Footprints in the Sand

Hello Friends,
This is a hard post to write.  As many of you know my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on New Year Eve last year.  She has gone through chemo and a total hip replacement in the last couple of months and I have spent a lot of time with her .  My last post was an anniversary card that I made for my mom and dad.  Well, that night, last Thursday she went to the hospital, and after 5 long days she finally went to her heavenly home.  I had just bought this stamp and made this card for her, but didn't get the chance to give it to her, it was one of her favorite poems.  So this post is for my mom, she will be missed dearly.

I stamped the image by Inkadinkado with Brown Stazon and carefully colored the water and sand with Copics.  I used my Versamarker for the water and embossed with Sparkle EP.   Then I cut it out with the Nestibilitie and before I took off the die I sponged on the Soft Sky ink.  For the other layer I stamped the Seashell Corner and embossed it with a new embossing powder, Hit the Beach, from Sparkle N Sprinkle, it is a Cosmic EP, with sparkle and very pretty IRL.  For the ribbon I used Sand Beige Copic marker and colored the white organdy ribbon, as you can see I colored more on the ends and left the middle more white.  You can customize your ribbon in this way.

Thanks for looking,
Happy Stamping,
Jill
