Day 2 of Mystical Treasures

Today I want to show you a simple altered art project.  I had this little candy lunch box (it had Sugar Daddy's inside it)  in my altering draw for a while and thought it would make a cute little box for a child to put their tooth in for the tooth fairy.  I started with covering the middle section of the box with a strip of sticker paper that I covered in Sun Dazzle Sparkle N Soft, and I used 1/2 Tear-ific tape to adhere it.  Then for the front I stamped the images and colored with Copics.  Then to add the sparkle to the front I used a Versamarker and colored her wing and embossed it with Sparkle embossing powder.  For the wand I used Firefly embossing powder, which glows in the dark!
Then for the inside I used sticker paper again and covered it with Cherry Sparkle Sparkle N Soft so it has a red velvet lining.  Then I had to make a tiny envelope for the tooth to fit into, and I stamped the Shooting Star and colored it, then used the Versamarker and embossed it with Glow in the Dark embossing powder!.  What child wouldn't have fun putting their tooth in a Glow in the Dark tiny envelope!

This is SO CUTE! I'm going to go roam the streets of my neighborhood looking for someone to make one of these for! (I don't think my 17 year old son would appreciate it!)

I love small tins, but never thought of using them as an altered art project. The way you covered the inside is brilliant.

This is just the most clever idea I've seen in a long time. Just adorable. If a little girl got this, she could keep this for treasures. Wonderful creation. Just beautiful.
