Faux Frosted Glass

Hi Stampers,
Kim and I had a great time at Stampfest and enjoyed seeing all of our friends and meeting new ones:)  Here is the main technique that was featured at the show....Faux Frosted Glass!!  It's so real looking and so soft and pretty!  It was a bit hit too:)  Sparkle N Sprinkle has sold acrylic pieces for years and would stamp on them with Stazon and color with Galaxy markers.  I took those acrylics to the sanding block and made them into frosted glass pieces!!  All you have to do is peel off the protective coating on the acrylic and take your sanding block and sand in circular motions on both side to get the frosted look.  Then you stamp in Versamark and emboss either with a color embossing powder or clear for a more subtle look.  Here are the cards that I had at the show.

The top glitter strips were done with our Tear-ific Tapes layed down and glittered.
This is the Pocket Tag that we made at the Make N Take.
So get those acrylics out and try a frosted one:)
Enjoy and
Happy Stamping,

Nice technique - fun, different way to use those acrylic pieces.

Saw your samples at Scrapbook Expo and really love how this comes out. With the clear it really looks etched. Thanks for a great technique.
