Glowing Sunset with EP's
Hi Stampers,
Last month I did the Technique Club Video featuring a Semi-Transparent Cosmic EP over the Mason Jar to give it a frosted look. You can see the post here. Sparkle N Sprinkle has lots of colors of Semi-Transparent Cosmic EP's so I wanted to try to technique out with a different stamp. I started with Beccy Muir's Silhouette Stamp Set and just stamped with ink and then after cutting out the rectangle, covered the entire cardstock with Versamark. Then I chose Skylight, Cotton Candy, Orange Sherbet and Lemon Sherbet and sprinkled them in layers and heated. I loved the look of the colors, but I thought the background lacked some interest.
So I decided to pull out one of my book pages for my background and this time instead of just using ink to stamp the image I embossed it first with Satin Velvet EP, then using the same colors as above did my sunset colors. I think the image pops more this way and the type in the background added the interest I was looking for. Both cards were finished simple to let the image show shine as the focal point.
On the inside I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with the Satin Velvet again, then stamped just the silhouette flowers on the inside and batiked them with the different Cosmic EP's for a soft look.
I have a few more ideas in mind for this method...so keep watching!
Happy Stampin'
Jill
